Writes a resolved timeline layout into a transaction builder.
This is the shared bridge between speculative preview and commit. Pass the
same placements to an AelionPreviewOptions.overlay callback while dragging,
then to EditingCommands.applyPlacements on pointer-up. The helper updates
Track membership and rebinds affected Transitions; it does not commit or
validate the resulting Project by itself.
